About Us |
The Five with
D.R.I.V.E Foundation is a volunteer based organization, located in Markham, Ontario. The foundation is run whole heartedly on a 100% volunteer basis that provides the core of making a difference in the lives of others.
Fundraising events started small but the unique passion for helping our community
continues to grow stronger.
The Five with D.R.I.V.E Foundation first fundraising event was a ball hockey tournament, which consisted manly of close friends, and family. After this venture Andrew and Daniel Rossi decided to form a charitable foundation known as ‘The Five with D.R.I.V.E Foundation” (5WD). Receiving it's official charitable status in 2007.
100% of all funds raised by 5WD go toward
our causes/projects! We are a not-for-profit charity and do not charge administrative fees or employ any paid staff positions

| We have strived to battle prejudice and encourage inclusion through opportunities for supported integration whenever possible. |

OUR MANDATE
The Five with D.R.I.V.E Foundation funds
community-based initiatives in York Region and in
other countries. Our funding works in four areas:
- Raise awareness on behalf of the vulnerable
groups we work with through educational
presentations to school’s, businesses and
community groups.
- Support the unsung hero’s
of Canada; people living with intellectual
disabilities develop their community involvement
and participation free from discrimination and
prejudice.
- Provide education facilities
for children in Kenya living in the Soweto Slums
of Nairobi – working to provide permanent
financial solutions through constructing proper
educational facilities.
- Assist the
school populations in the Soweto Slums (Kenya)
with proper sanitary pit latrines, water
catchment systems for clean water, including
health education to enhance individual and
community health.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
In our efforts to promote change and positively influencing the life of another,
we consciously put those that we are recognizing ahead of ourselves. Whatever our
cause we will not tarnish the central focus of our commitment to the groups we
partner in assisting. Consistently, we will put awareness at the forefront of our
initiative, for the simple fact that money is not the true measurement of success.
Education and empowerment is what makes the ideal difference in the life of another,
and money is a secondary attribute that aids in further change.
We must not undermine the strength of empowerment regardless of who we are involved
with. Whether it is HIV patients in Sub-Sahara Africa or orphaned children in Canada,
people's ability to cope and adapt cannot be snuffed out by moral relativism.
Five with D.R.I.V.E. acknowledges that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance
character and character, hope. This is true for all races and all peoples of the earth,
and it is passed on to us only through the Grace of God to engage in the pursues of
equality, including enhancing the physical, mental and social plight of those around
us locally, nationally and globally.
